CWCU Supports Oregon’s Wildland Firefighters
As wildfire season continues across Oregon, CWCU is proud to provide $1,000 in support to the Oregon Chapter of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, helping provide practical, immediate support to the wildland firefighters working to protect our communities.
Our donation will go directly toward basic needs for firefighters in the field, including water, food, first-aid supplies, and other essential items that help keep crews supported while responding to wildfires.
This partnership also started close to home. A special thank you to Charlie Rucker, our Bend Branch Manager, for helping identify the need in Central Oregon, connecting Community Engagement with the right local contact, and helping us build this new partnership. It’s a great example of how the knowledge and relationships our teams have within their local communities can help CWCU direct support where it can make a meaningful difference.
The Oregon Chapter of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation is a volunteer-led organization supporting the broader mission of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, which provides assistance to injured wildland firefighters and their families and supports the families of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to support those serving on the front lines of Oregon’s wildfires and for our team members who help us identify opportunities to make an impact in the communities we serve. Click here to Make a Donation.
